GOOD WATER (Lyrics)
Chorus
We are a generation people called to be together
Loving one another setting free the other giving like a
Mother looking for a better way to teach the younger
Picking up the pieces building bridges
And thirsting for good water
Now we have come of age, all roads to this place
We know the future’s going to rest on each other
And we all long for what could be the good for you the good for me
And finding love that we believe from one another
Chorus
We are a generation people called to be together
Loving one another setting free the other giving like a
Mother looking for a better way to teach the younger
Picking up the pieces building bridges
And thirsting for good water
And all that I am and all that I may be
Won’t quench this thirst that calls inside me
Though we may come from a different land
Every woman child and man
Reaching for love with all we can
While love comes after me
Chorus
We are a generation people called to be together
Loving one another setting free the other giving like a
Father looking for a better way to teach the younger
Picking up the pieces building bridges
And thirsting for good water
Dreams in my mind cover me oh oh wash over me
Dreams in my soul pour down on me
Pour down and soak all of me
In my heart come to me oh oh sweet memories
Dreams in my soul pour down on me for we are love
Chorus
We are a generation people called to be together
Loving one another setting free the other giving like a
Mother looking for a better way to teach the younger
Picking up the pieces building bridges
And thirsting for good water
Good water good water good water
Good water good water good water
TEARS (Lyrics)
Shattered and broken glass scattered everywhere
Searching for the piece of me I swear I lost somewhere
Lucent seducers aim to hypnotise
After selling all my jewels I’m worn out from compromise
Gonna go and shed this skin
Like the love of Magdalene
Pre-Chorus
Open this heart, Know who you are
Just a little bit better. oh oh oh oh
Just a little bit braver
Mend what is broken, melt what is frozen
And give us..
Chorus
Tears, and give us tears
Rising waters in me sooth the soul that’s dry
Pools of courage flicker in the eye
Gonna go and shed this skin
Pre-Chorus
Open this heart, Know who you are
Just a little bit better oh oh oh oh
Just a little bit braver
Mend what is broken, melt what is frozen
And give us..
Chorus
Tears, give us tears
Give us tears, give us tears
Bridge
Oh oh this love
Freeing me drop by drop
With my
Chorus
Lears, give us tears
Give us tears, give us tear
Alt Chorus
Outside there’s a new wind blowing I can hear it calling out my name
Oh, I can feel my heart beating in the air I’m breathing this adrenaline is rushing again
Oh, the tears pour down as I’m rising from the ground love flow through my veins
Oh, I will wash away the doubt in the mercy coming out with the love I’m knowing again
Alt Chorus
Outside there’s a new wind blowing I can hear it calling out my name
Oh, I can feel my heart beating in the air I’m breathing this adrenaline is rushing again

ANY OTHER WAY (Lyrics)
In my life I hope to find
Some kind of peace of mind
But I have chosen these hills to climb
And a road that never ends
So you may ask me
Did I win or lose
Well friend I really cannot say
Sometimes you fall
Sometimes you’ve got it all
But I wouldn’t want it any other way
Now in my life I hope to be
A little kinder to me
And let go of all this fear and pain
And learn to love my stains
And I don’t buy perfection
We weren’t created that way
So bring on life’s temptations
I wouldn’t want it any other way
Oooh Oooh
Life will make you tough
There’s nothing like having been there
But there’s a price to pay
For knowing that much
In my life I hope to find
Some kind of peace of mind
But peace of mind comes from yourself
It won’t come from somebody else
So you may ask me
Did I win or lose
Friend I really cannot say
You may hear me complain
About my growing pains
I wouldn’t want it any other way
FRIEND (Lyrics)
We have begun understanding the heart of each other
Like sisters and brothers knowing one another
And, I, I knew it when I saw your face
There would never be a day we would say goodbye
Oh I know, you barely had to say a word
But something in my soul I heard
You’d be forever near me
Chorus
So I’ll be with you my friend, a love to the end
I’ll be holding you close to my heart
In the joy and pain, the sun and the rain
I’ll be right there, beside you, my friend
We have begun telling stories of all the missing chapters
Saying what really matters, now and then with laughter
And I, the freedom that I feel inside
Unfolding like a butterfly, Becoming who I am
Oh I know, the wonders inside of you
They have become mine too
And all our tomorrows, in time
Chorus
So I’ll be with you my friend, a love to the end
I’ll be holding you close to my heart
In the joy and pain, the sun and the rain
I’ll be right there, beside you, my friend
Bridge
I believe you are a gift to me
The one who offers honesty
And strength should I fall down And so, if ever I offend you Forgive me I ask of you
And look beyond my weakness..
Chorus x 2
So I’ll be with you my friend, a love to the end
I’ll be holding you close to my heart
In the joy and pain, the sun and the rain
I’ll be right there, beside you, my friend
FALLING (Lyrics)
I’m watching all the clouds roll in
Thinking of a time, that day my world caved in
Now tell me why did it end
I told myself that I could never feel this way again
I’m listening to the rain outside
Telling me to run to you and not to hide
I’m feeling life begin once more
Now I realize you are that something that I can’t ignore
Chorus
‘Cause I’m falling again oh
Oh, it feels so good inside
But I’m so scared to let myself give in And I’m needing again oh
Oh, it’s crazy but I’m falling in love again
Don’t go, no give me just some time
To show you how I feel, and give you what is mine
And baby, oh I won’t say goodbye
You’re building up those dreams again that were once left to wilt and die
Chorus
‘Cause I’m falling again oh
Oh, it feels so good inside
But I am so scared to let myself give in And I’m needing again oh
Oh, it’s crazy but I’m falling in love again
Bridge
I vowed that there would never be another
In my heart I see what’s happening to me
Chorus
I’m falling again oh
Oh, it feels so good inside
I’m scared to let myself give in I’m needing again oh
Oh, it’s crazy but I’m falling in love again
It’s crazy but I’m falling in love again
JOANNE (Lyrics)
Chorus
Joanne, what’s your plan
You’ve been wanderin’ with an open hand
Joanne what’s your story
And will I see you again in your glory
Did you make that ring, does it say anything about you
Did you make that ring or did somebody love you
Was life good when you were young
When you still had some trust to give someone
And oh Joanne, we both know broken promises
Chorus
Joanne, what’s your plan
You’ve been wanderin’ with an open hand
Joanne what’s your story
And will I see you again in your glory
Do you hope to find someone to give all your love and care
Do you hope inside, someone’s looking for you somewhere
Oh oh oh oh you and me we aren’t far apart
And so Joanne I give you my heart
Bridge
Who knows you, who holds you, who loves you
Who told you, you were never gonna go that far
Who knows you, who holds you, who loves you
Oh there’s gonna be a day, someday, you’ll show us who you are
Chorus
Joanne, what’s your plan
You’ve been wanderin’ with an open hand
Joanne what’s your story
And will I see you again in your glory
And will I see you again in your glory
And will I see you again..
MY OLD MAN (Lyrics)
My old man was a very good man
Toughest man I’d ever seen
Married a pretty lady, O Lord, what a lady
The strength behind the man’s dreams
Though we had enough times still were tough
Though you’d never hear him complain
‘Cause my old man and his violin
Kept the faith and found the way
When he played…
Chorus
La La La La La La La La La La La La L
La La La La La La La
Now my old man was a generous man
From a generation of old
Made his bread with his hands, for his heart was his land
But his music was his soul
So he played his song and passed it on which became the life we lived
For my old man only had one plan
We’d have a better life than he did
Then one day a few of us grew up
And heard another call
And soon hard words were spoke until
No words were spoke at all
And I think what finally broke the man
Was when he knew he had to let go
Cause he never, did he ever, could he ever understand
Why we loved our rock and roll
So he played….
Chorus
La La La La La La La La La La La La La
La La La La La La La La La La La La La
La La La La La La La La La La La La La
La La La La La La La
Bridge
He worked all day and all night long
Just to have a place where we could sing our song
And the one thing most important to him
Was that we used the gift that to us had been given
People round town said man you just don’t see…
He said, you don’t go changin’ what is meant to be
Meant to be….
So he played…
Chorus
La La La La La La La La La La La La La
La La La La La La La
So we played..
Chorus
La La La La La La La La La La La La La
La La La La La La La La La La La La La

About
Good Water is a collection of songs that give insight into the varied musical influences that have shaped this band and is their first studio album in more than 10 years. From choral & classical to roots, traditional & Celtic to rock, pop & country, elements of each have found their way onto this album, brought together masterfully in David Bottrill's hands, weaving a distinct sonic "tapestry". The song ideas explore universal themes of love, struggle, perseverance, overcoming, redemption and, ultimately, hope.
